I started doing embroidery way back 2018 to cope with issues regarding my mental health. I was diagnosed with BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and if you know what I'm talking about, it affects your relationships amongst other things. Embroidery became my way of self-inquiry. It was time away from my own mind. Back then it was crowded in there.😳 When I'm stitching, I'm connecting to my soul, to the depths of it. It's my meditation and my inexpensive therapy to wellness. Did it work? You bet it did! I just got off my meds.🎉 I'm not supposed to 'cause I haven't been going to my regular sessions brought about by the pandemic but here I am. My therapist said she's proud of me.😊⠀

Because of embroidery, I found a purpose and through that purpose an identity. I'm not just an artist who loves to stitch. I'm the 30-year-old granny who stitched her troubles away.
